Charlotte was brought up on a small farm on the outskirts of Christchurch, it was here where her parents Merrilies and the late Peter Rebbeck instilled her passion for the outdoors and her love of wholesome home grown food.
Charlotte attended St Margaret’s College in Christchurch and went onto to Lincoln University where she gained a degree in resource management with a major in landscape architecture.
In 1998 Charlotte headed overseas, where she worked in the Cayman Islands, United Kingdom and her father’s home country Ireland before returning to New Zealand in 2003 to start Green Monkey. Like most successful entrepreneurs, life’s experiences and lessons have shaped the values and ethos which Charlotte maintains to this day. Her love of the environment, the sustainable organics philosophy and her desire to constantly improve is what drives her when developing exciting new products for her business.
This has meant there is never anytime for complacency when it comes to continually developing the brand, Charlotte is fortunate to have a supportive husband Dave and enjoys the time spent away from work with her two young children Eve and Harry. Charlotte has maintained an incredibly grounded and practical approach to business and enjoys working hard with trusted business companions, her vision and approach to business is to be respected and she has admiration for the people who have be part of Green Monkey story and all the people who have mentored her over the years.
