Traceability

When exporting our baby food around the world, we prefer to use seafreight rather than airfreight to reduce our carbon footprint in alignment with our environmental ethos.

After the second cooking process our pouches are manually packed within our ‘Eco’ display cartons in batches of twelve, with six of these cartons placed into a larger shipper. We have carefully designed our packing configuration to adequately protect our pouches for gentle delivery throughout the globe.

We have an accredited HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) food safety programme. The methodical cooking process, 100% metal detection post filling and manual packing with visual quality control are just some of the many safety features we employ, to ensure we attain world-class food safety standards.

Our high tech multi-layer pouch is auto-filled with industry standard equipment. It is designed to handle high cooking temperatures. The plastic pouch allows full metal detection post filling for increased safety. This is also the step where a unique batch code is stamped onto the pouch – in effect a traceability code that links the ingredients contained within back to the original farm source.

We pre-cook the baby food prior to filling, then use a ‘state of the art’ food processing technique called ‘Advanced Thermal Process’ which cooks the food further within the pouch. This process both seals in the fresh flavours and guarantees food safety.

Our base ingredients are processed according to specific recipes and specifications, in our world-class export grade facility. This factory has organic certification status with internationally recognised ASUREQUALITY NZ 0480.

Our freight providers collect our custom grown produce and carefully deliver it to our pre-processing division for optimal preparation of our ingredients for manufacture.

We personally select our fully certified organic New Zealand farmers to nurture our produce and animals. This ensures we use only the best crops and meats in our super-premium baby foods. Using local farms enables full traceability from ‘paddock to pouch’ which sets us apart from other brands.
